Job Description

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backend application issues to ensure minimal downtime. 
  • Provide second-line support for backend systems, including databases, APIs, and server-side components. 
  • Collaborate with developers to identify root causes of technical problems and implement solutions. 
  • Perform application deployments, upgrades, and patch management. 
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and maintain a knowledge base for recurring problems. 
  • Assist in performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning for backend systems. 
  • Support integration with internal and external systems and ensure data integrity. 
  • Participate in testing new backend features, updates, and releases. 
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
     

Prior Work Experience:
 

  • 1-3 years of experience in backend application support, preferably in finance or banking sector.
  • Strong knowledge of backend technologies, databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.), APIs, and server environments. 
  • Experience with troubleshooting backend applications, logs analysis, and performance monitoring tools. 
  • Basic scripting or programming skills (Python, Java, or similar) are a plus. 
  • Knowledge of financial systems or microfinance platforms is advantageous.
     

Language Proficiency: 

  • Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required. 
     

Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex backend issues. 
  • Proactive approach in identifying potential issues and implementing preventive measures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with IT, business units, and external vendors. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple incidents simultaneously. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills. 
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and system updates
