Reports To: Technical to Architectural Design Manager / Administratively to CEO Egypt Branch

Span of Communication: Engineering Director/Architecture Head/Senior Arch. Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

Architectural Draftsman responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings

and working files fully compliant with the Omani Building Codes and standards,

supporting ORIX’s engineering consultancy operations in the Sultanate of Oman.

The role requires precision, high technical capability, and familiarity with multi-disciplinary

coordination for Omani projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Architectural Drafting & Documentation:

- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction documents.

- Develop working drawings that comply strictly with Omani building codes and standards.

- Convert architectural concepts and sketches provided by architects into fully detailed drawings.

- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness of all drawings.

- Update drawings based on design revisions, RFIs, and client comments.

2. Project Coordination:

- Coordinate drawings with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to avoid clashes.

- Collaborate closely with Omani projects management team to ensure drawings meet Omani

regulatory requirements.

3. Quality & Compliance:

- Follow ORIX drafting standards, templates, and naming conventions.

- Conduct self-checks for accuracy and compliance before submission.

- Maintain drawing records, version control, and documentation logs.

4. Technical Support:

- Apply technical input for site queries and modifications when required.

JOB QUALIFICATION:

Education:

Bachelor Degree OR Any Equivalent

Experience:

• 5–7 years experience as Architectural Draftsman in consulting or contracting firms.
• Experience working specifically on GCC projects (Oman preferred).

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in:
• AutoCAD (Advanced Level)
• Revit (BIM Experience preferred)
• Adobe / PDF markup
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing and construction methodologies.
• Understanding of cross-discipline interfaces (Structural, MEP).
• Ability to produce detailed sections, elevations, and construction details.
• Multi-disciplinary coordination awareness.
