Job Summary

The HR Officer will support the execution of HR strategies and initiatives within a fast-paced multinational oil and gas environment. The role is responsible for recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training coordination, HR compliance, and supporting day-to-day HR operations to ensure a productive and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for technical and non-technical positions.
  • Liaise with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and job specifications.
  • Manage candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, and selection processes.
  • Support onboarding and orientation of new employees.

2. Employee Relations

  • Serve as a first point of contact for staff HR-related queries.
  • Support conflict resolution and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Assist with grievance handling and disciplinary procedures in line with company policy.

3. Performance Management

  • Support implementation of performance management systems, KPIs, and appraisal cycles.
  • Coordinate performance review meetings and maintain related documentation.
  • Assist managers with talent management and succession planning processes.

4. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs in collaboration with department heads.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programs, safety compliance courses, and certifications.
  • Track training attendance and evaluate training effectiveness.

5. HR Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with expatriate HR processes—work permits, visas, mobilization, and demobilization.
  • Support payroll processing through verification of HR data.

6. HR Reporting

  • Prepare HR metrics and monthly reports (turnover, recruitment, training, etc.).
  • Provide data-driven insights to support workforce planning and management decisions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • 0–2 years HR experience (oil & gas or heavy industry experience is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced environment with strict HSE standards.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with recruitment of technical/engineering roles.
  • Knowledge of rotational workforce management and field operations HR support.
  • Understanding of HSE compliance requirements.
  • Multilingual skills (advantage in multinational settings).
