Job Description

We are seeking a Local Substation Safety Engineer based in Algeria to join our team for substation and power transmission projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are met throughout project execution, strictly adhering to Algerian safety regulations, company policies, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Establish, implement, and maintain the project’s HSE management system in compliance with Algerian regulations and ISO 45001 standards.

Conduct regular on-site safety inspections and audits, identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.

Lead safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency drills for employees and contractors to strengthen safety awareness.

Investigate and report safety incidents or near misses, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures.

Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including safety plans, permits, inspection records, and training reports.

Develop and update emergency response plans and coordinate with internal and external teams during emergencies.

Perform other safety-related duties as as

signed by project management.
