Job Purpose:

FM Landscape Engineer will be responsible for reviewing, supervising, and ensuring the quality, sustainability, and efficiency of landscape and irrigation works across M squared projects. The role involves overseeing consultants and contractors, monitoring daily operations, conducting inspections, and ensuring alignment with master plans and sustainability objectives while maintaining high service standards for residents.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and validate landscape and irrigation design drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications submitted by consultants and contractors.
• Ensure landscape designs align with the master plan, sustainability goals, and community requirements.
• Conduct project handover inspections to verify landscape and irrigation works meet design intent and quality standards.
• Perform site inspections to assess the quality of softscape (lawns, trees, shrubs, seasonal flowers) and hardscape (walkways, pergolas, water features).
• Oversee contractors’ daily operations, work programs, manpower deployment, and compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
• Monitor and evaluate performance of landscape maintenance contractors and facility management service providers.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for irrigation systems, pumps, and landscape assets.
• Ensure timely closure of client service requests and effective resolution of residents’ landscape-related complaints.
• Track subcontractor attendance and verify compliance with contractual requirements.
• Improve delivery of private garden services for residents through best practices and efficient use of systems and equipment.
• Approve seasonal planting schedules, irrigation programs, and fertilization/pest-control plans.
• Promote sustainability in water use, native plant selection, and waste management (composting, recycling).
• Review energy and water consumption reports to optimize efficiency and costs.
• Prepare technical reports, performance evaluations, and monthly landscape maintenance reviews.
• Recommend landscape improvements, upgrades, and cost-saving initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Engineering or Agricultural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in landscape, irrigation, and facility management.
• Strong background in supervising contractors for residential compounds, resorts, or mixed-use developments.
• Solid understanding of landscape design standards, irrigation technologies, and water conservation methods.
• Experience in project handover, snagging, and asset lifecycle management.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills to represent the Owner’s interests.
• Ability to coordinate with multi-service teams.
• Skilled problem solver, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
• Ability to balance cost efficiency with long-term quality and sustainability.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
