Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join our Operations team and take a key role in production planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring for our steel factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and control detailed baseline project schedules for steel structure projects.
• Lead the preparation of project work breakdown structure (WBS) and project coding for steel works.
• Monitor progress across design, procurement, fabrication, and erection activities, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.
• Conduct critical path analysis, delay impact assessments, and prepare recovery/revised schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure realistic planning and forecasting.
• Prepare resource-loaded schedules (manpower, materials, equipment) and analyze resource requirements.
• Lead the preparation of weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc progress reports for management and clients.
• Support claims and extension of time (EOT) submissions through proper documentation and delay analysis.
• Ensure project schedules for steel works are aligned with overall project master schedules.
• Mentor and guide junior planning engineers within the team.
• Participate in project meetings with stakeholders, presenting accurate schedule and progress updates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or Mechanical Engineering (preferably with focus on steel structures).
• +5 years of experience in planning and scheduling, with at least 3 years in steel structure projects.
• Expert knowledge of planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection methods, sequencing, and project lifecycles.
• Experience in delay analysis and claims preparation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
