Role Description

This is a remote, contract position for a Director of Communications and Public Relations. The individual in this role will be responsible for designing and implementing strategic communication plans, managing media and public relations, crafting and distributing press releases, and fostering relationships with media entities. Additional responsibilities will include representing the organization in public appearances, overseeing internal and external communications, and ensuring brand consistency across all communication channels.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years of Experience with Public Relations, Media Relations, and managing professional relationships with various media outlets
• Proficiency in crafting Press Releases and managing their distribution
• Strong expertise in Communication and Strategic Communications
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and time-management skills
• Experience in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies
• Ability to work independently in a remote capacity, demonstrating initiative and accountability
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
• Knowledge of social media platforms and digital communication tools is a plus
