We are looking for a talented & creative Mobile Videographer/Reel Content Creator & has experience in managing social media platforms especially tiktok & Instagram to join our team at DEOC Cosmetics.

Job description:

As Reels Content Creator will be responsible for independently coming up with creative video ideas & owning the full video creation process from concept to execution. This includes ideation, concept development, scripting, shooting, video editing, & final delivery of short-form, social-first video content for Instagram, TikTok, & other digital platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of storytelling, understands trends & performance-driven content, and is hands-on with cameras, lighting, & editing tools & probs. A passion for beauty & cosmetics, combined with the ability to turn original ideas into engaging, high-quality videos, is essential to elevating the brand’s image & audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shoot high-quality short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) for social media, ads, & digital campaigns.

• Capture content during product shoots, launches, tutorials, UGC-style videos, behind-the-scenes, & events.

• Set up & operate cameras, lighting, & audio equipment to ensure professional visual & sound quality.

• Direct talent (models, influencers, team members) during shoots to achieve the desired performance & storytelling.

• Edit raw footage into engaging, fast-paced videos with strong hooks, clear storytelling, & high retention.

• Create platform-optimized edits for different formats & ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9).

• Add transitions, text overlays, sound effects, music, subtitles, & motion elements that enhance performance.

• Ensure all videos align with brand tone, visual identity, & messaging guidelines.

• Develop video concepts, scripts, hooks, & captions in collaboration with the marketing team.

• Record and/or edit voice-overs when needed, ensuring clarity, pacing, & tone fit the platform & audience.

• Adapt scripts to trending formats, sounds, and storytelling styles without losing brand identity.

• Work closely with marketing, creative, and social media teams to support campaigns, launches, and promotions.

• Brainstorm & pitch creative video ideas based on trends, insights, & performance data.

• Collaborate with photographers and designers to ensure visual consistency across all content.

• Optimize videos for each platform (timing, captions, subtitles, formats, trends).

• Stay up-to-date with social media trends, editing styles, sounds, & best practices.

• Monitor performance metrics (views, watch time, engagement, saves, shares) & suggest improvements.

• Maintain & manage all video production equipment (cameras, lenses, lighting, microphones).

• Ensure files are organized & workflows are efficient from shoot to final delivery.

• Stay updated on new tools, apps, & editing techniques relevant to short-form video.

• Ensure all video content reflects the brand’s values, quality standards, & creative direction.

• Maintain a consistent visual & storytelling style across all platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating & editing short-form social media videos (Reels / TikTok).

• Strong skills in video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar).

• Solid understanding of lighting, framing, audio, and mobile-first shooting.

• Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and trend-driven content.

• Ability to work fast, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing trends.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Video Production, Multimedia Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

· 2+ years of experience as a videographer/video editor, preferably within the cosmetics, beauty, or fashion industries.

· Strong portfolio demonstrating videography and video editing skills with experience in creating promotional, social media, and product videos.

· Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and graphic design tools (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).

· Experience with camera operation, lighting, sound, and other production equipment.

· Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques for various platforms.

· Strong storytelling skills with the ability to convey brand messages through visual content.

· Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for video production.

· Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills & Attributes:

· Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, Facebook) and best practices for video content creation on these platforms.

· Experience in product video shoots, including tutorials, demonstrations, and influencer collaborations.

· Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.

· Ability to adapt to different video styles and formats, from quick social media clips to longer-form promotional videos.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to take creative direction while maintaining a collaborative approach.

· Passion for the cosmetics industry and a keen interest in beauty trends.
