Magic Travels DMC is an award-winning luxury destination management company, with an outstanding history and culture, who have been offering tailor-made holidays, private tours, journeys of discovery, arrangements for conference and incentive groups, and group adventures for discerning travellers since 1985.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to oversee financial operations for our Luxor and Aswan destinations, including the financial management of our Nile boat, Gaia. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and seamless financial coordination between land operations and river cruises.

Key Responsibilities

1. Destination Accounting (Luxor & Aswan)

• Oversee daily financial transactions for all land-based activities in the region.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable specifically for local suppliers, guides, and transportation partners.
• Ensure all tax filings and local government regulations in Upper Egypt are met.

2. Marine Operations (Gaia Boat)

• Manage the "Floating Accounting" cycle: inventory for Food & Beverage (F&B), fuel consumption, and maintenance costs.
• Monitor onboard revenue (bar, boutique, excursions) and perform regular audits of boat cash floats and POS systems.
• Coordinate with the Boat Manager to ensure payroll and operational expenses are tracked accurately.

3. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly profit and loss (P&L) statements specifically for the Luxor/Aswan region and Gaia.
• Conduct variance analysis (Budget vs. Actual) to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Perform periodic physical inventory counts at warehouses and onboard the boat.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the Travel or Hospitality industry is mandatory.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Regional Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the business landscape in Luxor and Aswan.
• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, Oracle, or industry-specific PMS).
• Advanced Excel skills
• Soft Skills: High level of integrity, ability to work under pressure during peak tourist seasons, and excellent communication skills for managing remote teams.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience specifically with Nile Cruises or marine accounting.
• Knowledge of Egyptian Tax Law related to the tourism sector.
