An introductory course explaining the mechanics of breathing and how pressure changes in the lungs and thoracic cavity allow inhalation and exhalation.
عن الدورة

This course introduces the fundamental principles behind the mechanics of breathing, focusing specifically on how pressure changes drive airflow in the respiratory system. It is designed for medical students, healthcare learners, and anyone interested in understanding the physiology of respiration.

Learners will explore how the lungs interact with the diaphragm, rib cage, and thoracic cavity to create pressure differences that allow air to move in and out of the lungs. The course explains key concepts such as atmospheric pressure, intrapulmonary pressure, and intrapleural pressure, and how these pressures change during normal breathing.

Special attention is given to the process of inspiration and expiration. Students will learn how contraction of the diaphragm and expansion of the chest cavity decrease lung pressure during inhalation, allowing air to flow into the lungs. The course also explains how relaxation of respiratory muscles increases pressure and pushes air out during exhalation.

Clear explanations and visual demonstrations help simplify complex physiological mechanisms, making the topic easier to understand. By the end of
