This course provides a clear and structured overview of several important respiratory diseases commonly studied in medical and healthcare education. Designed especially for medical students, nursing students, and healthcare trainees, the course explains key pulmonary conditions using simple visual explanations and clinical concepts.
Throughout the course, learners will explore major respiratory conditions including pleural effusion, sarcoidosis, bronchiolitis, pneumothorax, and obstructive sleep apnea. Each topic focuses on understanding the underlying pathophysiology, common causes, symptoms, diagnostic approaches, and basic management principles.
The course begins with pleural effusion, explaining how fluid accumulates between the pleural layers and affects lung function. It then examines sarcoidosis, a multisystem inflammatory disease characterized by granuloma formation. Bronchiolitis is discussed as a common viral respiratory infection affecting the small airways, especially in children.
