Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. The role involves troubleshooting, problem-solving, and ensuring smooth IT operations for end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and connectivity.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in accordance with company policies.
Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
Document issues, solutions, and maintain a knowledge base for recurring problems.
Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or vendors when necessary.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common desktop applications.
Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
